Interesting Blogs #3

Getting more information on subjects you are interested in is always a pleasure. Today, I have compiled a list of interesting blogs that I subscribed to recently because the content is pretty awesome.
Maybe you have an interest in the subjects in these particular blogs too. If that’s the case, be sure to check out all of them, because you might miss a few life-saving posts, if you don’t!
1. Darren Hoyt – Darren Hoyt is the lead designer over at Category4 and is in love with WordPress. His popular Mimbo theme (and Mimbo Pro) are awesome! The articles he is producing are of a high quality as well, so be sure to check his blog out.
2. WordPress Modder – Tips, tricks, hacks and lots of customizations for WordPress themes. I found this blog recently via twitter.
3. Hongkait – This blog gives you tips and resources for the blogger and webdesigner. It features some interesting resources lists I have enjoyed (which I usually don’t enjoy.).
4. PerishablePress – I have been subscribed to this blog for some time and Jeff Star is really picking up speed now. I see his articles everywhere lately!
5. WPtavern – WP tavern is started by WordPress-Weekly host Jeff Chandler and is ment to be a blog about WordPress. However, the main idea behind WPtavern is to create a enthusiast WordPress community in the forums. Check it out! You know I’m visiting because the beers are on the house!
If you have any suggestions with blogs I should be visiting, please don’t hesitate to comment. Enjoy the shitload of new and fresh content!

This is an interesting article for interesting blog…(grin). I visited Darren Hoyt site, it is very cool site. Nice layout and very good graphics.
Great blogs you have listed. I especially appreciated all the wordpress things as I have been advised to start using wordpress for my new websites.
Looks like its the future of websites to me.
Have always found your Interesting Blogs series very useful for my own WordPress work – now I wanted to let you know about a new tutorials site I’ve launched – wordpress.SeeHowTwo.com to help people learn WP (it’s the only way I build sites nows!)
Cool blogs, graphic designs and tutorials… Thanks for the post!
This looks great but I’m having trouble with the containing element flowing down the page to fit the height of the text inside (if that makes sense). Example in the link.
http://www.ronniebrown.co.uk/v3/
As you can see “container_12? doesn’t flow vertically with the text.
Perhaps some implementation error on my part but I can’t see the solution.
The more SEO plugins that you can have the better….
I think I will have to look into this a little further…
Thanks for the share
i thing one of the best seo plugin for wordpress is “all in one seo pack” and “seo platinum”. We can do search engine optimization easily with all in one seo pack or paltinum seo pack, it is great tool.
Great list of resources! Thanks for including WpRecipes!
Btw, I got some nice WordPress tutorials on my other blog catswhocode.com.
Another interesting resource for promoting WP related articles is WpVote.com, a social bookmarking site about WP and made with WP.
Thanks for publishing this article. This is very useful for me. Are there any plans to publish an article about conditional IE hacks for CSS or have you already done that?
The number of spam you’re receiving is certainly dishearting – with a blog of rather light traffic of mine, I get a handful of spam comments as well. I couldn’t imagine handling the amount of spam you’re receiving. Do you have Akismet installed and activated?
Although I have no idea how using rel=”nofollow” will help to prevent spam (there is a debate going on about the dofollow VS nofollow camps), perhaps it’s worth giving it a try
good luck!
Hey Stevant, I’m sorry about the mix-up, I don’t know why the comment ended up on other post

I wish IE6 would crawl off in a hole somewhere and die. This is a great post. Keep up the hard work.
On page SEO is still very important because this is the basic way to make sure that your website is search engine friendly. Having the right keywords in your meta tags and content will give you a big chance that your site will rank in the search engine on the keywords that you use.
What happend
? I tried to comment on the topic about Keywords Guide then after I post my comment it redirected me here..What’s wrong dude?
I don’t really know, I got the same problem over and over lately. I will try to search for a solution!
I just wish people had stopped using IE 6 and give the designers a break. IE conditional comments are great, but it still isn’t perfet, not because it’s not great, just because IE 6 sucks. Anyway, nice article.
very helpful thanks for the list..
opps comment: nice blogs thanks:))
nice blog for wp related, thanks..
Cheers for the list man, we never have enough of those plugins…
