No Do-Follow on DivitoDesign Anymore
I am sorry to tell you all, but I stopped supporting the Do-Follow movement. Back in the day, I thought it was a great idea to stimulate the number of comments here on the blog.
It did. However, not the way I would like to increase the number of comments. I don’t want to talk to people with the name of “SEO Company London” or “Free Apple Products”. I want to talk to “Richard” and to “Michael” and to anyone out there that want to participate in the discussion. Or the people who simply want to tell another trick, or a way to do things better to myself and my readers.
I couldn’t stand the way my inbox was filled with WordPress comments moderation emails any longer, while many of them were just human “spammers”.
So, if you think you can add value to the blog by commenting on an article you think that suits your opinion or suggestion, I will be more than happy to approve and reply to your comment. I just can not stand those other people anymore.
Thank you for your understanding and happy talking to each other over comment. I will appreciate that.

I find it a bit ironic that you’ve forgot to remove the “This blog is dofollow” message.
Nevertheless, I’m surprised that you have kept it dofollow for so long – most blogs removed dofollow a long time ago.
Thanks, Sumesh. Yes, I forgot to remove that. It’s deleted right away.
I’ve been considering adding the dofollow plugin, simply for the same reasons you decided to – the site is new, so I wanted to stimulate comments. However, after reading this, I feel more informed and will not do so. Thanks a ton for your insight – definitely not worth the comments!
Best, Dean
well… in a way I understand you. I am new when it comes at blogging, I have a small blog for a week now, and Askimet already reported about 20 spam messages.
I can understand how frustrating can become when you have a big known and visited blog, when you get hundreds of spams a day.
I can totally understand your sentiment . It can be a bit annoying chatting or responding to the various keywords different people are trying to rank better for.
No follow seems to cut down on spam .
I feel the same, but in order to earn a bit of good traffic and comments and users hanging out, we have to keep the dofollow for few months, till the site is a bit famous. I have also applied this trick to one of my famous b;log. You did it right buddy!
We are sorry to hear that. We apoligize if we left unwanted posts on you site. We do appreciate your site. There was a time not too long ago that there were more thatn 22 backlinks from our site LeapBrowser Search Engine to yours. We are returning the favor by listing your site Devito Design on our front page for a while. thanks.
