Welcome to The Ultimate Collection series. Today I have compiled all the tools, blogs and resources regarding Typography. Typography is often overlooked by the webdesigner, but fortunately, that trend is changing a bit!
I might have forget a resource I definitely HAVE to include so please comment if you have that resource. I am happy to learn and add it to the collection.

Getting inspiration is not only important with webdesign in general, but with Typography too. When I build a site based on typography, I always find inspiration in the following sources.

I didn’t know that large companies usually have a large section of typography related information on their sites. Here are some of the largest.

- Microsoft Typography
- Adobe Typography (shop + information)
- Apple Fonts Section

Typography Options on the Web

It’s hard to implant great typography on the world wide web because only a few fonts are fully supported. That’s why we sometimes have to improvise.

Really great post! When I saw the title I thought I had a few to suggest…but you’ve got them all. As a budding graphic designer, this is very important to me. bookmarked for future reference! Thanks again!
In these days, I am struggling to learn a bit about designs and layouts. I am more than happy to read that making our own professional fonts is not that difficult as it is perceived. One more thing, I seldom got such posts on design blogs so thanks for sharing the valuable resource.
Hi Stefan,
Thanks for taking the time to put these typography resources together. Will definitely come in useful in the future.
Kind regards,
Arnold
Thanks for the List Stefan, I tried a while back to build myown fonts. Very difficult
Hello buddy nice post. I have bookmarked your site.
Wow. I didn’t think there was so much information about typography… I pretty much figured the only rule was to not use Comic Sans.
This is a really useful post, it’s indeed quiete surprising how many website almost neglect the importance of typography. Bookmarked your blog, keep it up!
Hello! I have bookmarked your site.Nice post.
There is the very cool resources collection. Some tools that you described above I search a long time! Thanks =)
Excellent list of typography blogs. The majority of which I already have bookmarked, however there are some newer ones in there that look very interesting and will probably end up on my daily blog list.
Thank you!

Hey Stephan,
You have really covered all the aspects of typography. Thanks. I want you to post the similar post for Logo creation.
Thanks for the List Stefan, I tried a while back to make my own fonts.
wow .. i like your typography collection.
I use CSS type set. I love this particular typograhy selections. Extremely useful set here collected for many of my CSS projects.
Typography can be as important as linking. If people like what they see when they visit your page, then your site is in good shape.
Very informative post!
Thank you for explaining everything in detail!
Man you have covered every aspects of Typography and I have no resources for adding in your list. Nice and useful information for designers
Hmm, the font creation resources will be a huge help. typeface.js is a great piece of script, people should use it more often ;P
Several new type resources there, I’m bookmarking this for later (can’t run through all that stuff at once!).
Good work on the redesign too, I think the last version suffered from too much minimalism and lack of color. Loved the blue background in header and generous use of serifs all around the place, it is hard (at least for me!) to get it right when using only serifs.
Oh, and I forgot to add – I unsubscribed from some of the more geeky blogs a long time ago, I guess I don’t have the theoretical knowledge or interest to make sense of all that’s posted!
Anyone know if this blog is dead? Not too much activity in awhile.
Back in a day!
It is a pity only a few tipographies exist on www but with css3 you can put any typo on your site…2 or 3 years?? I need css3 now lol
I think this very interesting article. thypografi is importance for the basic skill
I think you missed one great free resource for fonts: http://www.fontsquirrel.com. It’s my favorite…
Cheers
Very good list of resources for any designer.
I too am looking forward to the day we see css3.
Glad to see no Comic Sans!
Typography is very important, and the type you acquire matters a lot.
Really informative article.
Here is a nice list of resources. Thanks for compiling them together. It would be a great help.
