Retro Purple is a WordPress theme compatible with WordPress version 2.3.1 upto WordPress 2.6.2. This theme can be used in all different types of blogs. You don’t need any plugins for running the theme perfectly.
Features
- Tested up to WordPress Version 2.6.2.
- No plugins needed to run properly.
- Widget Ready Sidebars.

- XHTML and CSS valid
- Multi Browser compatible (Firefox, IE6+ etc)
How to Install
- Download the package.
- Open up the header.php file.
- Find the comments above the description div.
- The description is located inside the description div . Change the text to whatever you like. You can also use these codes to show the description which can be changed inside WordPress administration.
- Save the file and upload the whole ‘Retro Purple’ map to wp-content/themes.
- Login to your WP administration panel, and click on Presentation. Look for the title ‘Retro Purple’ and click on the preview image.
- Retro Purple has been installed!

Do you have a new version which can go with 2.6.2? I have upgraded all my blogs to that version and many of themes are not working now and I have to tolerate different mysterious errors.

Nice colour balance – simple and clean. Do you have this design in other colours too? I’m sure you could use this theme over a number of other darker colours (two tone with white page)
No, I don’t have this theme in any other colors. And the theme works in the latest WordPress versions.
I like that theme. Although purple isn’t my favorite color, I can still see using this theme for some of my blogs. Is is possible to change the overall color using the CSS?
Currently, the background image is purple and if you manage to change the color to a color you prefer, you can change the other colors via CSS too.

Nice theme. Its quite easily customisable as well which I like. Like CMS Critic, I do also like the revolution theme and am going to try and mix the two and see how that turns out. Thanks
